I love truffles… absolutely love them. Generally though, they take forever to make, and let’s face it, it’s hard to eat just one. What if there was a recipe you could have more than one of and actually do good for your body?
Well if this is what you’re looking for, then you’ve come to the right place 🙂
All you are going to need for this recipe is
1. 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter
2. 1 scoop protein powder (Make SURE it’s a kind you like. The finer the powder the better)
3. 2 tbsp coconut oil
4. 1 tbsp cocoa powder (for a chocolate shell)
5. 1 tbsp PB2 (for a peanut butter shell)
Start off by mixing your peanut butter with your protein powder. I recommend adding a little bit of protein powder in at a time because often different companies will have different size scoops. It just has to be a rollable consistency. (Like cookie dough).
Set in the freezer while you prepare the shell.
I decided to do two different shells. One peanut butter, and one chocolate.
Melt your coconut oil.
Take out two separate dishes
In one, mix 1 tbsp of coconut oil with 1 tbsp cocoa powder.
In the other, mix the other tablespoon of coconut oil with the PB2.
Dip the truffles into either mix, and then set in the freezer
After about 10 minutes, dip back into the mixes, and then place them in the freezer one last time.
Wait a little while for it to harden, and then enjoy!
The peanut butter makes it. They are soo decadent and soooo good.
