#FallBlogChallenge Apple Week- Homemade Apple Chips

I have so many ideas for what to do with apples for apple week.  From pies to cakes to muffins to crisp, there are just so many options.

I literally had to stop myself and go back to the basics.  Before going to crazy with transforming apples, I think we should all know how to do some basic, helpful things with apples.

One of those being making apple chips.

Apple chips are a great way to have chips without having chips.  They taste better too in my opinion.

Caution though: they can be addiction.  Proceed with caution :).

All you’re going to need is:

Apples!!!

and a mandolin is quite helpful as well.

Start off by coring your apples.  Then slice through a mandolin.  If you don’t have one, just slice super thin slices.

Preheat an oven for 200 degrees.  Cook 1 hour and then flip the chips over.  I ended up cooking them another hour.  Wait a half an hour though and just keep checking in 5-10 minute intervals.  That’s it!
